Fall Foliage

This piece is the reason why I am the multimedia editor. Rita, another journalist, and I walked from our school down to the riverfront, taking pictures of particular trees from particular angles for a month. I then used KnightLab’s “juxtapose” feature to compare and contrast how the leaves looked at the beginning of the month versus the end. I then embedded the files into KnightLab’s StoryMap. The editors of that year were so inspired by this piece, they created and offered me my current position. I accepted, and have since won fourth place Multimedia Journalist of the Year from NSPA.
