Back to Benthics

This article was my first piece for The Communicator. There was no room in journalism my freshman year, so by the time sophomore year rolled around, I already knew what I wanted to write. Our class had missed the renowned Traver Creek field trip the previous year because school was online. This particular field trip is heavily emphasized in middle school outreach and the entire Foundations of Science I curriculum revolved around it. So I decided its return needed to be covered. I was thrilled when my article received an award since it was my first big article.
